As part of a recent advancement in industrial and technological development in Pakistan, Special Technology Zones (STZ) have been launched this year. These STZs are a step in the right direction to lead an Information Technology (IT) driven industrial revolution by creating a space for foreign investors, indigenous companies and educational and training institutes. Vision of iENGINEERING Technology Zone
iENGINEERING Technology Park is the first mover pilot technology zone of the Islamabad Special Technology Zone. The Park holds the capacity to generate over US$ 100 million in revenue and will create more than 6,000 highly-skilled jobs in the next five years. It is focused on transforming cost centers to profit centers which will significantly increase revenue capacity. iENGINEERING Technology Park will be facilitating the acquisition of foreign Pakistani-descent businesses by providing a mechanism for zone enterprises to invest their profits to acquire new customers and generate new revenue streams. The Technology Park will facilitate the formation of a consortium of zone enterprises within the zone to offer a broad spectrum of technology, allowing the consortium to compete for large national and international technology projects.
The true growth of technology is driven by local consumption and iENGINEERING Technology Park will harbor an ecosystem that will encourage discovery and implementation of technologies for industrial growth in Pakistan. The Technology Park will be accommodating international zone enterprises (with one anchor technology company), local companies with Pakistani descent owners and technology-based start-ups.
